Frequently Asked Questions

In this section you’ll find common questions and a few important points to keep in mind so we can avoid awkward situations and make everything run smoothly for everyone.

How do I book the photo session officially?

To officially book the date and time with us, we just need a 40% deposit via Zelle or Wise. If you are from Europe, you can send € via PayPal, Wise, or a bank transfer. If you are from the UK, you can send GBP to my UK account. We also accept PayPal in USD, but please note that it charges some fees that must be covered by the client.

Once we receive the deposit, your date and time are officially booked, and the photographer will decline other inquiries for that slot. The remaining 60% can be paid at the end of the photoshoot directly to the photographer (we usually prefer cash).

Can I reschedule the session to another day for personal reasons?

If you need to reschedule for personal reasons unrelated to the weather (new travel dates to Madrid, illness, planning issues, missed flights or trains, etc.), you can do so at no cost by notifying us at least two weeks in advance.

If you notify us less than five days before the session, you can still reschedule, but there will be a 40 euros fee, since the photographer will have already declined other works and it’s difficult to fill that spot on short notice.

If the session needs to be rescheduled a second time for reasons unrelated to weather, the fee will be 70 euros.

We also offer the option of sending a voucher to use in the following months in case you have to postpone due to not being able to travel to Madrid or due to a serious illness.

What happens if it rains on the day of the photo session?

We can reschedule the photoshoot to another day or time if the weather doesn’t allow it (rain, snow, or strong storms). If the day is just cloudy, the session will go ahead — actually, we love shooting on cloudy days since the light is even better than on sunny ones.

If we lose the photos, could you resend them?

Yes. Once we send the high-quality edited photos, it’s your responsibility to store them safely (we recommend keeping them on different computers, hard drives, phones, or in the cloud).

However, if you have any issues with the photos, just send us a message and we’ll resend them free of charge. No refund will be issued if the photos have been delivered and the client loses them.

Can I use the photos however we want?

Of course! Watch. Share. Print. Do anything you’d like — you own your photos.
The only exception would be for ads or commercial use, which would require a copyright release agreement with us.

Can we book a package and reduce or extend it on the day of the session?

It’s not possible to reduce the package, since the photographer plans the day based on the locations and duration you choose. For example, if you book a 3-hour package and then change your mind that day and only want 2 hours, the price will not change, since the photographer has already organized her schedule based on the chosen package.

As for extending, it depends. If the photographer doesn’t have another session after yours, of course you can extend — you’ll just need to pay the difference between the original package and the one you want to upgrade to. Longer packages also include more edited photos, unless you arrive very late (see the next question).

If the photographer has another booking after yours, you’ll need to stick with the original package. That’s why we always help you choose the most suitable one based on your desired locations and budget, to create a realistic route that fits the chosen duration.

What happens if we arrive late on the day of the photo session?

We always remind our clients how important it is to be on time, since the session time starts from the agreed meeting time. We allow a 5–10 minute grace period, as we understand delays can happen, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.

After that, the lost time cannot be recovered, and the session will still end at the originally agreed time.

For example, if your session is 60 minutes and we meet at Retiro Park at 4pm, the session will end at 5pm regardless of whether you arrive at 4pm or 4:30pm.

If you arrive very late and there’s barely time for photos (10–15 minutes), you can upgrade to the next package if the photographer is available afterward.

Case 1: If your original package is 60 min – 40 photos and you arrive 40 minutes late, you can upgrade to the next one (90 min – 60 photos). The new package includes 20 more edited photos, so you’d get around 50 minutes of shooting and 60 photos total.

Case 2: If you arrive 60 minutes late and your package is 60 min, there wouldn’t be time left for photos. If the photographer is available, you can upgrade to the 90-minute package, but since the photographer will only have worked with you for 30 minutes, you’ll receive as many beautiful photos as possible from that shorter time.

In short: please be on time. This is one of the most important things to enjoy the session calmly and make the most of your experience. If we meet at 5pm and you don’t know the area well, try to arrive at 4:30pm — that way, if you get delayed by traffic or transport, you’ll still make it on time.

What happens if we cancel the session?

If you cancel for reasons unrelated to the weather, the deposit is non-refundable, as the photographer reserved that date and time for you and declined other jobs.

However, we offer the option of sending you a voucher so you can do the photo session another time (usually valid for 12 months) or give it to someone else. That way, your deposit won’t be lost.

How many locations should we select?

It depends on how close or far the locations are from each other. We’ll help you choose a realistic route based on the package you select.

For example, if you choose a 3-hour package and only want Retiro Park, that’s probably too long for just that area.

On the other hand, if you want to do Gran Vía, Palacio Real, and Retiro Park — they’re only three spots, but quite far apart — so you’d need to book a longer session (3–4 hours) to have enough time.

Also, keep in mind that if you choose a place like a rooftop, the process might take longer because of the lines, security checks, elevators, etc.

Can we change the chosen location once the booking is made?

Yes, but please notify us in advance so the photographer can plan accordingly.

If you book your session several weeks ahead, you don’t need to confirm the exact location right away, but it really helps us if you let us know your final choice at least a week before the date.

Does the package time exclude travel time or outfit changes?

No, it doesn’t. For example, if you book a 2-hour session, it begins at the agreed meeting time and ends two hours later.

During that time, you can take an Uber or the metro to another spot or change outfits — but that still counts as part of the total session time.

For instance, if you start at 4pm, you’ll finish at 6pm.

What kind of editing is included when I book a photoshoot?

Editing includes adjustments to lighting, color, and framing. All the photos you see on my website or social media are edited by me with my own style, both in color and black and white. Each photo is edited individually using our own presets.

However, we don’t remove people from the background (all of them), make people thinner, remove wrinkles, or change clothing. Those things aren’t part of regular editing. In some cases, we can remove a person or object from the background (depending on the texture, color, and distance), but that’s not something we normally do.

We’re photographers, and our goal is to capture people and moments as they are. If you’re looking for someone to heavily retouch your body or background, it’s better to choose another photographer.

For example, if you want photos at Retiro Park, Gran Vía, or Palacio Real with fewer people around, you’ll need to book early in the morning.

Do we receive the edited photos from you? Can they be modified after delivery?

Absolutely! We always edit all our photos using our own presets, both in color and black and white. Our style is natural — we don’t like to oversaturate or overexpose. Before editing, we always ask if you prefer to include some black and white photos or all in color.

Once the photos are edited and sent, they cannot be modified. We maintain a consistent editing style, so before booking we recommend checking our portfolio, full galleries, and social media posts to make sure our photography and editing style match what you’re looking for.
